📋 The Princess Anthias is a strikingly pretty small anthias with a rich sapphire-pink body beautifully accented with golden-yellow flecks. Males are generally larger and more vividly coloured than females.
It comes from reefs across the Western Pacific, around Vanuatu and surrounding islands, where it's collected from deep water, up to around 70 metres, naturally forming large schools hovering over the reef. Every Princess Anthias we ship is feeding well, and a calm, settled introduction, added before more active or territorial fish, helps it adjust with minimal stress.
It does best under low-to-moderate initial lighting, gradually adapting to brighter conditions over time, which reflects its deep-water origin. It's fully reef safe and does best kept in small harems of one male with several females, or singly. It reaches up to 10cm, so plan on at least 265L for one fish, and 680L or more for a harem.
