📋 The Red Stripe Anthias, also known as the One-Stripe or Striped Anthias, is orange with a broad, light-edged red-orange stripe running the length of the body, and a purple-edged orange stripe curving from the snout through the eye to the pectoral fin. It has a deeper body than most anthias, and juveniles lack the bold red stripe until they mature.
It comes from the tropical Indo-Pacific, where it lives in and near caves on steep outer reef slopes and drop-offs at considerable depth, often seen swimming upside down against the cave ceiling, much like several other deep-dwelling anthias. Every Red Stripe Anthias we ship is feeding well.
It's fully reef safe and does best in a small group within a mature, well-circulated reef system, where its schooling behaviour and colour are most pronounced. It's one of the larger anthias, reaching up to 21cm, and it's rare in the trade given its deep collection depth. Plan on at least 380L.
