📋 The Yellowlined Basslet, also known as the Yellowcheek or Dusky Basslet, has a striking blue-grey body accented with bright yellow streaks that frame its face. It's a rare, sought-after prize.
It lives only in the deep waters of the Caribbean, at depths of 90 to 540 feet, in caves beneath ledges, often facing downward against the rock. That deep-water origin is what makes it special, and it's a sociable, bold fish that cruises confidently around the tank once settled in. Every Yellowlined Basslet we ship is feeding well.
It's fully reef safe and does well with peaceful tankmates. It reaches about 8cm, and it appreciates a larger tank relative to its size (at least 115L) with plenty of hiding places and a well-structured aquascape, so it can settle in comfortably.
