🐠 Clarkii Clownfish (Amphiprion clarkii)

Marine Reef-Safe Anemonefish • Bold Orange & Black Striped Body • Widest Anemone Compatibility of Any Clownfish • Beginner-Friendly Marine Fish

📋 The Clarkii Clownfish (Amphiprion clarkii), also known as Clark's Anemonefish, displays a black-to-dark-orange body crossed by two or three bold white bands, with yellow-orange fins.

Native to a remarkably wide range across the Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea and East Africa to Melanesia and northern Australia, this species is one of the largest and most adaptable clownfish available in the trade.

Clarkii Clownfish are famous for being able to host in a wider range of anemone species than any other clownfish — including Bubble Tip, Sebae, Carpet, and Magnificent anemones among others — making them a genuinely flexible choice if you're planning a host anemone setup, though like all clownfish they don't strictly require one. Worth planning for: this is one of the larger clownfish species, and it becomes progressively bolder, more territorial, and more assertive with size and age, sometimes to the point of dominating a smaller tank. It's a hardy, adaptable species overall, making it a great long-term centerpiece for keepers ready for its full-grown personality.

With ample space and appropriate tank mates, it thrives as a Bold, Adaptable Reef Display Fish.
