📋 The Super Black Snowflake Clownfish is a genuinely striking designer morph of the Ocellaris Clownfish, featuring a deep, velvety black body marked with irregular, jagged white bars that break away from the smooth vertical bands of a standard Ocellaris, often displaying sharp, interlocking, or "jigsaw" edges.
This is genuinely a captive-bred designer strain, originally pioneered by crossing a standard Snowflake Ocellaris with a naturally occurring Darwin Black Ocellaris found near Darwin, Australia, meaning this specific pattern genuinely does not occur naturally in the wild and has no wild counterpart.
We want to share a genuinely fascinating detail: juveniles of this morph typically start out with a dark orange or muddy brown base colour alongside their white patterns, with most or all of the base colour genuinely darkening to black as the fish matures. Despite its genuinely unique heritage, the care and temperament of the Super Black Snowflake Clownfish are virtually identical to the standard Ocellaris Clownfish — it's a real hardy, adaptable, and easy-to-care-for anemonefish. It's fully reef safe, and genuinely doesn't require a host anemone to thrive, though it may accept a Bubble Tip Anemone or similar species if provided.
