Shrimp gobies dominate the lineup — Randall's, Wheeler's, Tangaroan, Dracula, Yasha, and Wide Barred among them — each genuinely dependent on its pistol shrimp partnership for the full natural behavior to show. Sleeper Gobies like the Diamond, Golden Head, and Railway species spend their time sifting sand for food, helping keep the substrate clean in the process. Clown Gobies (Red, Green, Black, and Citron) are tiny, coral-dwelling residents that rarely stray from a single branching head. Watchman Gobies round things out, hovering near their burrows and darting for cover at the first sign of trouble.
